Okay. It's all over. Well the beginning of it is over. Here are the final results for early voting in Washoe County (Reno) Nevada.
After 14 days of Early Voting here is where we stand:
DEMS: 52.0% of registered Democrats voted
GOP: 39.1% of registered Republicans voted
Other: 37.0% of other Party's voters voted
All: 43.8% of all registered voters voted
What does this mean? Well one thing is that if we do have a blizzard, or some other kind of disaster the Democrats already have a massive lead with more than half of their votes booked.
Also, if the GOP tries some kind of mass voter disenfranchisement program, the impact will be much less. Because of the news coverage of the incredible turnout by the Democrats initially, the GOP also started pushing the Early Vote Program.
So in the end, Washoe County broke its early vote turnout record by nearly 10%, which will take a huge load off of the election Day turnout. Good stuff.
