Does Dean Heller Hate Reno?

I was a bit puzzled by the scheduled Derby Heller debate in two weeks. In Elko. Like the 4th biggest city the the District (and most remote and Utah-like).

Seriously. Why would the candidates have a debate 320 miles east of where the majority of voters in the district live? The Reno Sparks Metro area.

I know Reno is a big scary city, and big scary Zeke lives here, but if you want the job, you got to do the interview.

So yesterday I spoke with both campaigns. Well kind of. the Derby campaign is open to the idea. The Heller camp didn't call me back.
Typical.

All I can figure is that if Dean "invisible" Heller doesn't want to come to the interview with his bosses, Us, maybe he shouldn't get the job of being our Congressmen.

I mean Elko is nice, but Reno/Sparks is the Meat in this Congressional sandwich. Elko is like the mayonnaise. Racial joke intentional.

So Heller Campaign, it's time to step up get out from under the bed and schedule a debate in Reno. Times are tough and we'd like to hear what your plan is, compared to the person who says they can do a better job. Being scared is normal, but being brave is what we expect from our leaders. You are acting like a lily livered, chicken punk.

Heller, either cowboy up and agree to debate in Reno, or head back to the bunkhouse with the rest of the Dudes.

  1. Wouldn't it be better for the 'ol girl to get embarassed far, far away than in front of a lot of staring eyes? I mean...be kind to her, Z-man, she's fadin' like a plow horse in a thoroughbred race.

If Heller can't come up with some questions for her, I have a few I'd like to see asked in an open forum since she has been able to sweep all this under one huge, but quite lumpy rug.

  2. One thing I think is interesting about the poll in the Reno Gazette Journal this morning, is that Jill Derby "doesn't have the support of women". Anyone involved in politics in Nevada knows that every female Democrat is behind Jill. Proof you want? Check out The Blue Lyon blog.

to know how close derby was in 2006, see the Democrats new registration advantage (having long ago made up the difference from 06), and still insist that Heller will win is Flat Earthish.

    The world is round.

  4. Actually if you know how to read the poll, Texex, you would see she is not fading but closing fast. In addition, internal polls for the Rethuglicans show Heller at a much narrower 4 point margin.

    ZEKE...whats your contact email??

  5. Dean Heller doesn't want to show up and suit up because he got no game. The man is no more than a display rack for a fancy suit that hangs in Washington.
