AD24: Is Gwaltney a Joker or a Jerk?

OK, Stay with me; this might get a little Nerdy.

In Assembly District 24 in Reno, current Assemblyman, David Bobzien, is running against Dr John Gwaltney. After looking at Gwaltney's website I couldn't really find anything worth telling ya about. At first anyway.

The Doctor's SITE seems pretty damn boring when compared to Bobzien's, but then again ZEKE SAYS SO does too.

But then I looked at the "SOURCE CODE" of Gwaltney's page and found a classic. Most web pages have little pieces of Code in them called META TAGS, that tell old style search engines what is on the page.

Web Designers add keywords that they feel will reflect the content of the page. These words do not appear in the Source Code by accident-somebody puts them there on purpose.

So here is some of the Code from Dr John's Web page. Check out that last keyword.

META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="Dr. John Gwaltney, Nevada State Assembly, District 24, Winner, State Board of Education, Genius, ">

Alright. I imagine it could be a joke. Seriously, who.would add the word "Genius" in an attempt to campaign for office?

But then again, most Republicans I know are pompous arrogant jerks. So who knows? Maybe his web designer threw it in as a Easter egg or something for us retarded Blogger types looking for something to write about?

Anyway, since Gwaltney doesn't appear to be campaigning in any way, I wonder if HE is actually still running against Bobzien? These Reno Republicans sure seem to have faded from the scene lately.

  1. Zeke...are you out of your mind? I am painfully aware that your blog, like you, is a joke, and not meant to be taken seriously...after all, if I want the real news I can read a paper, right?

But when you tell lies in a believable fashion, it causes much distrust into your intentions. After reading your post, I decided to look up the source code as well for Gwaltney's page. Nowhere does it say ANYTHING about genius. In fact, here are the REAL MetaTags

CONTENT="Dr. John Gwaltney, Nevada State Assembly, District 24, Winner, State Board of Education,

Furthermore, when looking at Assemblyman Bobzien, a computer programmer with one session of experience in the Assembly, I think you can hardly compare to the record shown by Gwaltney. While his website may be "boring" to you, his experience as an Econ professor, college president, and time on the school board far outweigh any policy experience that Bobzien could even attempt to offer.

So, I think that when it all boils down to who is the "joker," it would have to be you, by trade, and Bobzien, by every other measurable standard.

  2. Matt! Thanks for reading!
How do you account for the Dullard Mush Blog posting the same note? I am SURE plenty of people who looked the code up and know that it is true. Nice try, buddy.

Are YOU the knucklehead Webmaster who PUT the Meta Tag in there?

Here is a hint: a COVERUP makes the story even MORE Juicy!

  3. Matt, it is STILL THERE BUDDY!
If anyone wants to look this up, load Gwaltney's page, and look in VIEW Tab(IE7) for "View Source" and you will see the code roll down about 50 lines. It is still there as if 12:16pm

    Get yer "facts" straight Skippy.

  4. Zeke,

I have no account of the Dullard Mush Blog posting the same note, because I am a faithful reader of you and Muth's Truths alone.

All I can tell you is that I looked up the code and saw that it is untrue. As a citizen in search of the truth, I decided to post.

I am most certainly not the web designer who wrote the code for Dr. Gwaltney's site, in fact, I had to do some research before I was able to figure out how to find the Meta tags.

I assure you that no coverup is being made on my part, but I am happy to assist you in making Gwaltney's candidacy more "juicy."

On another note, I did notice that you failed to refute anything about the legitimacy of Gwaltney's candidacy, does this imply that you are also in support of Gwaltney over Bobzien?

    Faithfully Yours and Muth's,
    Matt

  5. Matt, After reading your post I noted that you left off the final ">" end close tag. When you pasted your Bullshit version of Reality. Your code would not work. This means you INTENTIONALLY left out the Genius Tag. This also shows that YOU are will to LIE about your candidate, to get them elected. Just like EVERY other modern Republicans. CLASSIC.
Please make sure you get the Pone# for BIG ZEKE BAIL BONDS that when you actually comitt a REAL crime, I can bail your ass out of jail.

I respect your opinion, but don't spread lies. If your boy wins because he is a better candidate, fine. Cheating, however, is unamerican.

  6. Just checked again, and STILL can't find it.

    Thanks again, Sport

  7. Zeke,

If I was really trying to lie and cheat about this, I would have added the final ">" tag.

The only word beginning with the letter "g" that I am able to find, with my third time of looking at it, in the Meta Tag section is Generate.

This is not an attempt to lie, cheat or steal for a candidate. It is merely me trying to defend said candidate form your lies hidden behind a technical savvy that most do not possess.

  8. I'm sure you've seen this by now but I'll note that Myrna over at Renodiscontent posted using "google cache" that the code was there with the word "genius". Worth a look...here's the line that I just clipped:

CONTENT="Dr. John Gwaltney, Nevada State Assembly, District 24, Winner, State Board of Education, Genius, ">

On another note, anyone who dismissively claims that Bobzien is a mere "computer programmer..." needs to look a bit more closely at his background and experience. There are a lot of good reasons he was touted as "Freshman of the Year."
