1 or 2 New CD's in Nevada?

Well nobody has brought this us yet, but I might as well get it started.

With the crazy growth this State has seen these past 8 years since the last Census we are gonna be getting AT LEAST 1 more Congressional District, maybe 2 after the 2010 count. t that is Great. Perfect timing.

And Man, I hope Washoe can pull off the 665K Estimated population needed to get OUR OWN Person. If we wind up with that many people, the 2nd new CD will be parsed outta Vegas and include the rest of the State, like CD2 is done now.
Yeah I know Rural Nevada is growing, but not in sheer numbers like Washoe and Clark Counties. They will not have a large enough population EVER to get a non "Part-Urban" Rep. Sorry.

Having a "Vegas" District absorb "The Rurals" will DEFINITELY help popular opinion of Reno/Sparks.

WHY? Well look people, we Renoites get a lot of crap for being "Country Folk" by Las Vegans, even though WE invented the Resort Casino Program; WE have the better University and are WE are CONSIDERABLY more educated then the "most uneducated city in America:Las Vegas"(Zeke not with standing).

Even John "Arizona Lame" McCain thinks it is cool to make fun of our city, EVEN WHEN HE IS CAMPAIGNING HERE.

What really pisses me off is that we keep trying to play this town off as some kind of "Cowboy" hangout; it ain't. Do cowboys go to Burning Man? Do they Ski at World Class Ski Resorts? Do they Race Freaking Jet Airplanes around a track at 550mph? Not any Cowboys I know. In fact don't even KNOW an actual Reno Cowboy. Which makes sense, 'cause there AIN'T ANY.

Having a Congressperson that JUST WORRIES ABOUT Reno/Sparks/Washoe and NOT "Elko" or "Ely" or "Tonopah", will go a long way in getting rid of this misplaced image.

So everybody: invite yer friends and relatives to move here. At least until 2011. Screw the water shortage: we need people!

And most importantly: when the Census guy come to the Door in February 2010, tell'em 10 people live with you!
